Terms of Service
Boring but necessary. The short version: pay $129 once for Personal (or $199 for Personal+Business), use the app for one household, we're not responsible if you make financial decisions based on its output. The longer version is below.
Written in plain English, and in effect today.
Last updated: June 12, 2026
1. Who's offering this
GlidePath Money is a product of QuickTech LLC (Illinois). By using the app, the marketing site, or any related service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
Where we serve: GlidePath Money is offered to customers with a billing address in the United States or Canada. Stripe Tax gates checkout to jurisdictions where we hold tax registration; other billing addresses will be rejected at checkout. The app’s tax-modeling features assume U.S. tax rules — Canadian customers should review the “For Canadian customers” note in the tax disclaimer before relying on those features.
2. What you're paying for
$129 one-time for Personal or $199 one-time for Personal+Business gets you:
- A perpetual local install of GlidePath Money on Windows or Linux (Mac available today via early-access manual install at /mac; polished installers on the roadmap)
- 12 months of updates: bank parser refreshes, annual tax-rules updates, new features, security patches
- A private subdomain (
yourname.glidepathmoney.com) with sign-in for phone access - Up to 3 device installs (Personal) or 6 (Personal+Business). Phone/tablet via the subdomain doesn't count.
- Email support at [email protected]
After the 12-month update window, your install keeps working forever with the version you have on your last paid day. Optional $39/yr renewals keep updates flowing; lapse one and the app freezes (doesn't brick) at the most recent version. Resume at any time and you're current again.
One license covers one household. Multiple sign-ins on the device cap are fine (you + spouse + family members), but the data is for one household's planning. We don't audit this; we trust you to be reasonable.
About that $39/yr (auto-renewal terms): your purchase includes the first year of maintenance, and checkout enrolls it automatically — there’s nothing to turn on. After the included year it automatically renews once a year at $39, charged to the payment method on file, until you cancel. We email a reminder 7 days before each renewal, and you can cancel in one click any time from the in-app “Manage subscription” link or any Stripe receipt — cancelling stops the next charge (including before the first one ever happens), and the app keeps working (updates just stop flowing). If a renewal catches you by surprise, tell us within 30 days and we’ll refund it. Full mechanics on the Refund & cancellation page.
3. Refunds + license deactivation
30-day refund: If you change your mind within 30 days of purchase, you get a full refund — no questions asked. Refunds process through Stripe back to your original payment method. On refund:
- We mark your license as refunded on our server
- The app re-checks its license about once a week, so within about a week it shows a "license inactive" screen instead of opening
- Your data files in the DataFolder stay on your disk — every byte. They’re plain files you can open in Excel unless you turned on the optional at-rest encryption — in that case, export a plain copy (or switch encryption off in the app) before requesting the refund, because once the license deactivates the app can no longer decrypt them for you
- Your private subdomain is torn down within 30 days of the refund
This applies to refunds of your original purchase — refunding a $39 maintenance renewal never deactivates the app; we refund the renewal charge and your license stays active.
After the 30-day window, refunds are at our discretion (we'll consider edge cases like duplicate purchases, fraud, or technical issues that prevent the app from running on your hardware).
4. What this app is and isn't
This is not financial advice. GlidePath Money runs Monte Carlo simulations, projects retirement scenarios, tracks balance-transfer promos, and shows you the math behind each number. The output is information, not advice. You are responsible for your own financial decisions. We are not your fiduciary, your tax accountant, your investment advisor, or your lawyer.
The projections in the app are based on assumptions you provide (expected returns, volatility, inflation, retirement age). Reasonable assumptions still produce approximations. Don't bet your retirement on a single projection without consulting an actual professional for major decisions.
5. What we promise
- To do our best to keep the app and tunnel infrastructure working
- To respond to support emails (best-effort, usually within 24 hours)
- To never sell your personal information or financial data (see Privacy Policy)
- To give 30 days' notice before any price increase on existing licenses
- To open-source the local app's data format (it's just CSV) so you're never locked in
6. What we don't promise
- That the app is bug-free (it isn't; please report bugs)
- That every bank's CSV format works perfectly (we add support as customers report formats)
- That the tunnel will be up 100% of the time (Cloudflare is highly available but not perfect; your local app keeps running at localhost regardless)
- That third-party providers we rely on — Stripe, Cloudflare, Resend, Anthropic, Yahoo Finance, app stores, email providers, or operating-system vendors — will be error-free, uninterrupted, or unchanged forever
- That the math in the app is fit for any particular purpose beyond information
- A polished Mac installer (Mac is available today via manual early-access install at /mac; on Linux, phone access and the email-forwarding inbox are still on the roadmap)
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Resell the app or your license without our written permission
- Use the service to host or process anyone else's financial data without their consent
- Reverse-engineer the app to circumvent the license check (just buy a license — they're $129)
- Use the tunneled subdomain for anything other than your own GlidePath Money instance
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages — including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, lost time, or financial losses from acting on the app's output. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations; in those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the smallest amount the law permits.
Back up your DataFolder. If your PC dies, your data goes with it. We don't have a copy and we can't recover it for you. This is the deliberate cost of the local-first architecture; it's on you to protect your data.
9. Disputes, arbitration, and governing law
Let’s try to fix it first. If something goes wrong, email us at [email protected] and we’ll spend up to 60 days trying to resolve it in good faith. Most things end here.
If that doesn’t work — binding arbitration. Any dispute we can’t settle informally will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, before a single arbitrator, rather than in court. Arbitration is less formal than a lawsuit, and the arbitrator can award the same damages a court could.
No class actions. Disputes are handled individually. You and QuickTech LLC each waive any right to bring or join a class action, collective action, or other representative proceeding, and the arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person’s claims.
You can opt out. If you’d rather not be bound by arbitration, email [email protected] within 30 days of your purchase with “Arbitration opt-out” and your name. No penalty, and the rest of these Terms still apply.
Small claims is always fine. Either of us can still bring an individual claim in small-claims court instead of arbitration.
Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of Illinois, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. For anything that does end up in court — a small-claims matter, or enforcing an arbitration award — the courts of Illinois have jurisdiction and both parties waive jury-trial rights. If the class-action waiver above is ever found unenforceable, that single dispute proceeds in those Illinois courts rather than in arbitration.
Your consumer rights still win. Some consumer-protection laws give you rights you can’t sign away — and nothing in this section is meant to take those. If any part of it (the arbitration, class-waiver, governing-law, or forum language) can’t legally apply to you or your claim, it bends to whatever the law allows, and the rest of these Terms stays in force.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may change these Terms over time. If we change anything material that affects your rights, we'll email you at least 30 days before the change takes effect. You can cancel at that point if you don't agree.
11. The legal bits
Severability: if any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
Entire agreement: these Terms, together with the EULA, Privacy Policy, and Refund policy, are the whole agreement between us about the service and replace any earlier understandings.
Electronic communications: you agree that we may send operational, legal, renewal, security, and support notices to the email address tied to your license. You are responsible for keeping that email address current.
Feedback: if you send bug reports, feature ideas, suggestions, or other feedback, you allow QuickTech LLC to use that feedback to operate, improve, market, and support GlidePath Money without owing you compensation or ownership in the resulting product changes.
Assignment: you can’t transfer your rights under these Terms without our written okay. We may transfer ours to a successor — for example, if QuickTech LLC is acquired or reorganized — and we’ll let you know if that happens.
