Four steps, including phone access. (On Linux? Jump to the Linux install — it's two commands.)
Download & run the installer
Click the button above. The installer is ~52 MB (with the .NET runtime and tunnel bundled inside; extracts to ~185 MB on disk so you don't need to install anything separately). Run it and approve the admin prompt — Windows needs it to install the app, add a firewall rule, and set up the secure tunnel and auto-start. The installer is signed by QuickTech LLC via Microsoft Trusted Signing so SmartScreen recognizes the publisher; if you see an "unknown publisher" warning, you grabbed a pre-1.0 build — re-download from this page.
Paste your license key
When asked, paste the key from your welcome email. Your installer will reach
out to api.glidepathmoney.com to provision your private subdomain,
set up the secure tunnel, and configure sign-in. Takes about 5 seconds.
Open your dashboard from any device
On your PC, the dashboard's at localhost:5000. For phone access, go to
bridge.glidepathmoney.com on your phone and enter the email on your
license — we email you a one-time 6-digit code (it expires in 10 minutes); type it
in to sign in. Your session stays active for up to 24 hours, and re-asks for a fresh
code after 30 minutes idle. Nothing to switch on in the app — phone access is ready
as soon as the install finishes.
Add your first account
You'll see a guided welcome card on the home page with four numbered steps: add your household (Partners), add your accounts, add your credit cards, and run your first Monthly Close. Plan on about 10 minutes for a complete dashboard. Stuck? The Help & FAQ link is in the Setup menu.
Linux
The same app, natively on Linux — validated end-to-end on Ubuntu 24.04 desktop (keyring-backed encryption keys, PDF invoices, the full test suite). Pick your flavor:
Debian / Ubuntu / Mint — .deb
Download the .deb, then install it:

Launch GlidePath Money from your app menu (or run
glidepathmoney) — it serves your dashboard at
localhost:5000 in your browser.
Any other distro — tarball
Download the tarball (self-contained — no .NET install needed), then:

Same deal: your dashboard appears at localhost:5000. (Minimal distros
need libicu installed; upgrading later = untar the new version, delete
the old folder.)
Activation: no installer wizard on Linux — open the app and paste
your license key + email on the Activate page it greets you with.
Your data lives in ~/.local/share/GlidePath Money/data.
What works today: the whole planner — dashboard, retirement
Monte Carlo, Tax Valley, the balance-transfer tracker, imports, invoices, the browser
extension, Glide AI, and at-rest encryption with keys in your desktop keyring
(GNOME Keyring / KWallet via libsecret — needs secret-tool, standard
on Ubuntu/GNOME; on KDE enable KWallet’s Secret Service interface, or use a
passphrase instead). Validated end-to-end on Ubuntu 24.04; other distros should work
via the tarball, and we'll fix what you find —
tell us.
Two features are still on the Linux roadmap: phone access and the forward-your-bank-emails inbox. Both ride on your private subdomain, which the Windows installer sets up today — so a Linux install is local-only for now (everything in the browser on your machine). They're coming; we'd rather ship you the planner now than hold it for the tunnel.
Verify your download: every artifact's hash is published at
SHA256SUMS.txt
(run sha256sum --ignore-missing -c SHA256SUMS.txt next to your download),
and every Linux build is ClamAV-scanned clean in CI before it ships — plus
independent VirusTotal reports for this build's
tarball and
.deb.
Same license as Windows — one purchase covers your household on either OS, up
to your plan’s device count (3 on Personal, 6 on Personal+Business).
Antivirus flagged or quarantined the download?
Once in a while a brand-new release gets a “low reputation” flag from an antivirus tool. Most of these reports are reputation warnings for a new build, not confirmed malware. They usually clear within a few days as the release builds reputation.
You don’t have to take our word for it. Every GlidePath installer is code-signed by QuickTech LLC and scanned by dozens of engines on VirusTotal. See the independent scan report for this exact build.
If yours quarantined it: open your antivirus’s Quarantine or Protection History, find the GlidePath Money installer, choose Restore or Allow, and re-run it. We also report each release to the antivirus vendors to clear the flag at the source. Either way, your financial file stays local by default — that’s the whole point of GlidePath.
